The Strictest Oxidation demands

Oxidation is a significant indicator of the quality of oil. Low oxidation levels provide protection against harmful free radicals, enhance sensory properties, and extend shelf life. Our production process is carried out in an oxygen-free environment with strict temperature controls to minimize contact with oxygen from start to finish. Additionally, we add natural antioxidants to the finished product, and each batch undergoes meticulous testing.

We use state-of-the-art equipment to measure every stage of the oxidation process with high accuracy, and we employ both liquid and gas chromatography to detect even the tiniest amounts of unwanted by-products. Our oxidation limits are less than half of those specified in the GOED Monograph.

Sustainable Production Facilities

We are prod that our production facilities rely on hydroelectric energy. Additionally, our facilities utilize fish oil by-products as biofuel. This method generates no waste material and almost eliminates Ballstad's production carbon footprint.

Terje previously worked as General Manager at Ingredia AS and as General Manager at SFK / BWL AS, Norway's leading manufacturer and supplier of food ingredients. Terje works as the president of 15 different companies in Norway. He has over 20 years of international business experience.
Per Benjaminsen - Board member

Per has over 30 years of experience in the food industry as the founder of Marine Lipids AS, Probio AS and Ayanda ASA. He served as president of Nordic Pharma AS, a company of Nordic Naturals Inc. He is a board member of Eevia Health Oy, a manufacturer of organic plant extracts for the nutritional supplement industry.

Børge currently works as managing director at Glitch Studios and has over 20 years of experience in online marketing, branding and communications for a wide range of global clients.
Svein Erik Nicolaysen - Board member

Svein Erik has held various companies and positions in the health food industry. He worked for 10 years as general manager at Vesterålen Naturprodukt AS, Norway's leading food supplement company.

Odd Roar was Country Manager at Laud Media AS and has over 10 years of experience developing and integrating retail solutions. He previously worked as European Trade Manager at DSGi plc and was responsible for developing new technology concepts for retail in Europe.
